Next is a couple birthday cards I whipped together a couple weeks ago. It was my sister in law and nephew's birthdays and I had to make some cards...and quick. Here's what I came up with. This card features the sweet pea felt flowers, the new scallop punch, the Sale-A-Bration paper pack, and my favorite stamp set: warm words. I just inked the edges of the paper with some chocolate chip ink for a little something extra. It's so simple, but so cute!
Next is the card for my nephew Mako. This card uses my most favorite birthday set: Crazy for Cupcakes and my new favorite technique of stamping an image on patterned paper and cutting it out. A little background on this card. At this point most of my crafting supplies are in boxes in sotrage and scattered everywhere-one major box was still missing that had everything I use in it. We're talking blender pens, glitter, adhesive, everything, still missing. So I had to get a little creative with what I had. You may or may not notice that the ribbon is retired, but I can use whatever I want for personal use. :) But really, this is the easiest and quickest way I know of to add pattern and color to a stamp. I stamped the image directly on the card as well so I could put it back together easier.Hope you enjoyed this technique!
